Brandywine and Boston Mills are good places to learn to ski. It would be a good place to initiate children. When young, it prepared me for rigorous skiing out West. I had some good times at ski places, and frequently went at night. Having said that, an exchange student from Switzerland went out there, and said, “This place is parking lot.” There was so much industrial money flowing through Cleveland- Akron in yesteryear, I could write a book about all the dumb pastimes available. Now, it’s just not the same. I mean, Corky & Lenny’s deli just closed. For a look at Cleveland’s past, I adjure the Cleveland-set novels of newspaper man Don Robertson, whose style was lauded by Stephen King, and compared by critics to Theodore Dreiser and John Dos Passos.
